You can take pictures of the stars with your smartphone or with a dedicated astrophotography camera. The pictures are captured in the raw image format, which you can process with your preferred photo-stacking software.
The app includes a plan with the positions of the stars and planets for you to capture.
You can choose a specific star to capture or the entire galaxy.
You can also choose to capture a specific planet or the entire solar system.
The exposure time is determined by the amount of time it takes for the starlight to travel from the Earth to the object of interest and for the light to be released from the camera.
